Oh boy, I think every deviant who puts effort in their works ask themselves this question.


A personal pet peeve I have with deviantart is, I see a recolor and edited vector/base that gets a lot of comments and fave. In my opinion, it's really unoriginal and shows signs of little effort and work. It annoys me because, it tells me that people can put little effort in art and get lots attention. It kinda defines logic.

I actually seen a few people here on dA who gets popular by doing recolors or edited vectors. Some people even call their artworks "cool". TBH, I rather see a gallery full of average works with effort shown instead of a gallery filled with recolors.
